SCOE & SPJUSD Nondiscrimination Statement
The Sierra County Office of Education and Sierra-Plumas Joint Unified School District prohibit discrimination, harassment, intimidation, and bullying based on actual or perceived age, ancestry, color, mental or physical disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, marital status, pregnancy status, parental status, immigration status, hair texture or style, medical information, nationality, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or association with a person or a group with one or more of these actual or perceived characteristics. Furthermore, students will not be excluded based on the aforementioned protected bases from participation in or access to any educational program, guidance and counseling programs, testing procedures, curricular or extracurricular, including all sports and other activities; denied the benefits of participation, or subjected to harassment or other forms of discrimination in such programs.
